Event #3 Key Speaker: Professor Victoria Vesna During UCLA Undergraduate Research Week, I had the opportunity to hear this class' Professor Victoria Vesna present her work through a zoom presentation. She introduced her work in the Art + Science field and her role in the DESMA community. It was interesting being able to hear her talk more about topics we have been discussing throughout the whole quarter in this class. She was able to expand and actually introduce her own projects. She mentioned her collaborations with Dr. James Gimezwski with nanoscience + nanotechnology. Professor Vesna then introduced her project called Nano, that was actually on exhibition at LACMA Museum. This project aimed to immerse the senses and reflect on the connection between technology, art, and science.
